Techniques and Services

Swedish Massage is the most popular form of massage. It is a general, all over body massage that focuses on stress reduction and relaxation.  It utilizes friction and kneading to promote circulation and to create a sense of warmth and  well-being.

Deep Tissue Massage is very effective for treating chronic muscle pain.  This massage usually focuses on a specific area of the body that is presently in a knot or spasm.  Since the focus is on releasing the tissue in layers, it is beneficial to allow more time to work each layer.  Some examples of where Deep Tissue works well are back, neck, shoulder or leg pains.

Reiki Therapy is an ancient Japanese form of healing, often referred to as “the laying on of hands.”  The therapist, is like an extension cord for the Universal energy to flow through to help to create a healing environment for the overly stressed person.  Reiki can help to alleviate pain, as well as prepare the body for surgery, or any other major event, by strengthening the aura and balancing the chakras.

Crystal Healing is energy therapy that uses quartz and other minerals to mend the physical body by working on its energy field.   A typical session would include a chakra balancing, mending and strengthening the aura.  It is believed that energy follows intention.  Therefore, intentions are set to transform the negative or blocked energy to something more like water in a stream.

Synergistic Structural Integration, otherwise known as Rolfing, is a series of ten one and a half hour session to reintegrate the body structurally.  It is believed that there is one sheet of fascia that connects a person from head to toe.  Imbalances in the fascia in the chest could potentially be felt in the upper back or shoulder.  Structural Integration systematically goes through the body to release adhesions or scar tissue to relieve chronic pain, to reduce tightness, and/or increase range of motion.  A commitment to a ten session series, each being scheduled one to two weeks apart, is highly recommended.

Sport Massage involves a variety of techniques aimed at facilitating the body’s conditioning, recovery, and performance in sporting events.  The goals of each session depend on your needs for that day and can range from preparing for competition, reducing the recovery time between trainings, overcoming an injury to helping in the competition.  The therapist will work with you to meet your needs.  Therefore it is important to communicate clearly what your specific needs are, in order to ensure your goals are met.

Salt Glow is an effective way to jumpstart the lymphatic system.  It is a two-step process that begins by focusing on the skin.  First, an oil and salt mixture is applied gently all over the body to exfoliate the skin.  Then after the salt is removed with warm moist towels, then comes the relaxation massage, with aromatherapy oils.  This not only encourages rejuvenation of the skin, but increases circulation of the entire body, too.  Please allow for an hour and a half.

Hot Towel Massage uses warm, moist towel with aromatherapy in conjunction with a relaxation or deep tissue massage.  It is another tool to aid in ones comfort and ease of tension and stress.

Chair Massage Chair massage is 15-20 minute massage that focuses on the neck, shoulders, arms, wrists, and hands.  It is acupressure-based and performed in a special chair in which the client sits facing toward the cushions.  Chair Massage is specifically suited to relieve stress in high-tension and overused areas and to promote a renewed sense of energy, well-being, and vitality.

Weekly, bi-weekly or monthly visits are an excellent way to keep employees healthy, happy, and stress-free.  Chair Massage visits are a proven way to ease tension and boost productivity during stressful periods or "crunch time”.  Our Corporate Chair Massage services integrate seamlessly into your workplace.  We make it easy to provide the healthy benefits of chair massage at your office.

Prenatal Massage is great for any stage of pregnancy.  The massage will help the expecting mother to adjust to her new body and role, which can be very uncomfortable.  The massage will help to not only reduce pain and swelling in the legs and lower back, due to the increase in fluid volume and the change in her center of gravity.  But it will also help to calm the pregnancy jitters.

Hot Stone Massage is the ultimate in pampering for the body.  Fifty handpicked, heated Basalt rock are strategically place on the body to warm up the tissue.  Throughout the placement and removal of the stones, the body is massaged by either the therapist’s hand or the stones themselves.  Basalt stones are believed to provide strength through difficult  times and can produce solidarity in one’s life.  It can be useful in dissipating anger.  Please allow for an hour and a half.
